We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join their growing team on a full-time basis. You will have strong experience in building custom Shopify apps and integrating data between disparate systems. A capable multitasker, you will work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Shopify App & Extension Development: Architect and build custom Shopify apps using TypeScript, focusing on Admin extensions, Shopify Functions, and Checkout Extensions to enhance core platform capabilities.
API Design & Integration: Design, develop, and consume robust REST and GraphQL APIs. Implement secure authentication patterns including OAuth 2.0 and proactive token refresh management.
System Architecture & Data Flow: Develop complex data mapping and transformation logic for ERP integrations. Implement Backend for Frontend (BFF) patterns to optimize data delivery for specialized client needs.
Event-Driven Architecture & Hosting: Configure and secure webhooks for real-time event processing. Deploy and manage backend services across cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or Netlify.
Engineering Best Practices: Maintain high code quality using Git version control in a documented development environment, ensuring all backend systems are scalable, secure, and compliant.
Documentation: Document custom code and configurations for future reference.
Key Technical Skills & Experience
At least 3 years of experience with building Shopify custom apps, e.g. Admin extensions, integrations, etc.
Integration data mapping and data flow design, including transformation logic between disparate systems
REST or GraphQL API integration, building, consuming, authenticating, troubleshooting
JSON and XML for data payload handling and transformation
Authentication patterns, OAuth 2.0, API keys, basic auth, token refresh handling
Git / version control and working in a documented dev environment
ERP integration background (any ERP, since patterns transfer)
Webhooks, configuring, securing, and consuming event-driven payloads
Experience implementing the Backend For Frontend Design Pattern
Experience with hosting services such as AWS, Azure, GCP or Netlify.
Strong Typescript skills
